New Authority Lists

New trucking authority list for $9: how it compares

This new authority list is a $9 weekly CSV of new FMCSA operating authority grants. It is for teams that will add their own contact research. The file has no phone numbers, emails, street addresses or owner names. The Motus tables are free if you filter and join them yourself. Paid lead services set their own prices.

Each week FMCSA grants new operating authority to motor carriers, brokers and freight forwarders. The records are public on data.transportation.gov (Motus AuthHist and Motus Carrier). New Authority Lists joins those two tables, keeps one row per docket and gives you a clean 16-column CSV for the previous Monday to Sunday.

Questions and answers: price comparison

How is this different from pulling Motus data myself?

The Motus tables are free. We do the work: we keep Granted events, dedupe to one row per docket, join city, state and insurance flags from the carrier table, convert dates and drop email, phone and free-text fields.

Why is it cheaper than paid lead services?

We ship fewer fields. No phone numbers, emails, street addresses or owner names. Many paid lead services include contact details.

Why are some company names blank?

A name is kept only when it has a business suffix or keyword and does not match a person-name test. The test can miss a person's name.

How current is the data?

One file each week for the previous Monday to Sunday, normally posted on Tuesday. FMCSA posts with a delay, and records can be corrected at any time. Check the source before you rely on a record.

Can I cancel the monthly plan?

Yes, any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access runs to the end of the period you paid for.

Is this affiliated with FMCSA?

No. New Authority Lists is not affiliated with or endorsed by FMCSA or the U.S. Department of Transportation.
