10 real rows from the sample pull, with all 16 columns of the paid file.
The file starts with 3 comment lines that begin with #. Delete them if your tool does not skip them.
Left out on purpose
No phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, street addresses, officer or owner names, doing-business-as names, or the raw FMCSA reason text (it can hold personal emails). A company name is kept only when it has a business suffix or keyword (LLC, INC, TRUCKING and so on) and does not match a person-name test built on US first-name and surname lists. Otherwise the name is blank and name_blanked is Y. The test can miss a person's name that is on neither list.
This applies to the sample and to the paid file.

Questions and answers: New Trucking Authority List
What is in the new trucking authority list?
Each row is one new operating authority grant from FMCSA, with one row per docket number. Columns include USDOT number, docket number, authority type, grant date, company name (when it passes a business-name test), city, state, and insurance, cargo and bond on-file flags. The file has 16 columns. The latest sample pull has 5,935 dockets, dated 2026-09-10 to 2026-10-09.
Where does the data come from and how often is it updated?
The data comes from U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), U.S. Department of Transportation: Motus AuthHist (All With History) joined to Motus Carrier (All With History), on data.transportation.gov. One file each week, for the previous Monday to Sunday (US Eastern). Records a source posts after we build a file are not added to that file. New files are normally posted on Tuesday. Sources post with a delay.
What is removed from the file?
Phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, street addresses, officer and owner names, doing-business-as names and the raw FMCSA reason text are not in the file. A company name is blank when it has no business suffix or keyword, or when it matches a person-name test. The test can miss a name.
How is the file cleaned, deduped and enriched?
We pull the FMCSA authority history table and the carrier table from data.transportation.gov and keep the Granted events. We keep one row per docket (dedupe), convert dates to ISO, rename columns and scrub email, phone and URL patterns. We join the carrier table to add city, state and the insurance and bond flags (enrichment). A company name that fails the business-name test is blanked, and the zip code is blanked on those rows.
How much does the new trucking authority list cost, and how do I cancel?
$9 buys one weekly file, once. $29 a month buys a new weekly file each week until you cancel. Cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the billing period you have paid for. Refunds: write to freshfilingsfl@gmail.com within 7 days of the charge. We refund the full charge ($9 for a single file, $29 for a monthly charge) if the file has a problem we caused that we cannot fix, if you were charged after your cancellation took effect, or if you were charged twice. We do not refund part of a billing period after you cancel.
Is this affiliated with a government agency?
No. Built from public records published by FMCSA and the City of New York. Not affiliated with or endorsed by FMCSA, the US Department of Transportation, the NYC Department of Buildings or the City of New York. Files are not the official record.

Known limits
- The person-name test is a rule of thumb. It blanks many real companies on purpose: 1,920 of 5,935 company names (32 percent, about 1 in 3) are blank in the current sample. It can miss a person's name that is on neither of its lists. In our hand review, roughly 5 to 10 percent of the names we kept can still look like a person. A removal request applies to future builds only.
- A grant row is a status change on an operating authority. It does not tell you whether the company is hauling yet. Rows cover property carriers, household goods carriers, brokers and freight forwarders (see authority_type and docket_prefix).
- About 3 in 100 rows have a Canadian province or Mexican state code in the state column, not a US state.
- No free text from the source is shipped. Only the FMCSA fields listed here are, and none of them is free text.
- The source can change or correct a record at any time. We do not promise the data is complete, current or accurate. Check the source before you rely on a record.
Cadence and freshness
- Cadence: One file each week, for the previous Monday to Sunday (US Eastern). Records a source posts after we build a file are not added to that file.
- Freshness: Updated from the source on the build date. Each row carries the pull time. The sample above was updated from the source on 2026-10-09.
